Job Description
You will belong to the Depot/Supervision section. Your work will include providing advice and support to the various operations of Region Östergötland on archival issues. You will conduct retention investigations, develop document management plans, prepare and receive deliveries of analog and digital documents. The role includes communicating/dialoguing with the operations, for example, by holding training for archive representatives. Currently, Region Östergötland produces almost exclusively digital documents, which makes digital deliveries a prioritized part of your work. Digital archiving is carried out in project form and requires close collaboration with the operations, the region's IT unit, suppliers, and object specialists for the e-archive R7e. Your work with digital deliveries will include assessing information value and possible technical solutions.
Within the Depot/Supervision section, you will work with archival care of delivered archives, such as final listing, organizing, and retaining, as well as continuously registering information for better searchability in the listing system Visual Archive. The section is also responsible for the care of the archive premises themselves.
At the regional archive, we continuously work on development and improvement efforts regarding, for example, the archive's working methods, routines, methods, and communication. This ensures high quality in both our service and decision-making but also creates accountability and participation for a secure workday. For archival care purposes, we have various thematic groups that you can join, such as a photo group that organizes and lists photographs, and a retention group that prepares for the retention of documents. The work includes travel to the operations within Region Östergötland.
About You
We are looking for someone with an academic education (at least 60 higher education credits/40 points, completed a and b course) in archival and information science, as well as a strong commitment to archival issues. It is advantageous if you have practical experience in the archival sector and knowledge of relevant legislation (such as the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, administrative law, and health and medical care law). It is also advantageous if you have experience working with digital archiving.
To thrive and fit in with us, your personal qualities are important. You have an easy time gaining an overview in new areas, seeing and taking advantage of opportunities. It is important that you are attentive to the needs of the regional archive and the various operations. In the role, you need to be able to convey information and collaborate with different professions and groups. You should be able to act independently while actively participating in our teamwork. You are a positively driven person, structured, and engaged in your work. In this recruitment, we place great importance on personal qualities and that you fit well into the group.
Application and Employment
Before employment in a patient-facing role within Region Östergötland, you will need to fill out an application (https://ledsys.lio.se/Document/Document?DocumentNumber=54500).
Warm welcome to submit your application! If you need help registering in the system, please contact customer service Support and Service, 010-103 60 00, during office hours.
To staffing, placement, and recruitment companies and to you as a seller: We kindly but firmly decline direct contact with staffing, placement, and recruitment companies as well as other external actors and sellers of additional job advertisements. Region Östergötland has contracted agreements.
